Let's be honest...

This virus is scary. It's something none of us has dealt with before.

It would be one thing if it was just a health concern, but it is also a financial concern. 

Lots of small businesses are going to be hurting....or worse, closing for good.

If there are any fishing guides saying that this hasn't or won't affect their business, they aren't being honest.

I've had more cancellations and refunded more deposits than I want to admit over the last few days.

They've all been trips that required them to travel.

And because I love my clients, I haven't argued over a single one.

Because we're all worried.

I get it.

I respect it.

But this will hurt our businesses and our families.

So what I'd like to ask, on the behalf of all fishing guides is this....

If you have been considering fishing with a local guide, one that would just be a day trip, now is the time to do it.

And if you are planning to book a trip with a guide that requires you to travel, as soon as you feel that it's safe to travel again would be a great time to do it!

We'll need and appreciate it!

I've got 18ft of space between my poling platform and your casting platform, and I guarantee there won't be anyone else on our flat.

I love and appreciate every one of you, and I pray you all stay safe and healthy.

Although everyone's safety is our utmost concern, the fish are still biting and we are still fishing.

Sight fishing for Redfish continues in the marsh.  We still have clear water and schools of fish, and the bite is picking up as the water temps increase.  Come get some before the schools all break up.

I'll be on the Roanoke May 4-10 fishing for Striped Bass and I still have a few days open.  Give me a shout if you want to chase them on fly or spin with us.
